We only have access to your location data if you have granted us access through your device's operating system or if you manually provide us with your location when claiming benefits and discounts.

Please note that if you select the option "always" when granting permission to access your location data, your location data will be accessed even if the app is closed. We only collect location data in the Hamburg area. For more information and instructions on how to withdraw your consent, please refer to the section "Evaluation of location data in Hamburg".
If you have not granted us access to your location data via the operating system of your end device, we will only collect and use the usage data mentioned above. The purpose of the data processing is the provision of the app. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. b) GDPR.
If you have agreed to access your location data in advance, we use your pseudonymised data to be able to track the use of the app. In addition, we use the pseudonymized data to evaluate the use of specific offers, services and content as well as your movement within Hamburg. The evaluation is exclusively statistical.
We only collect coordinates of locations in Hamburg and the beginning and end of the stay at this location. A profiling does not take place.

You can deactivate the statistical evaluation of the location data at any time under "Settings" "Send usage statistics".
The legal basis for this type of data processing is Art. 6 (1) a) GDPR.
We process your personal data for the transmission of booking requests to us, for the redemption of discount offers at certain tourist locations and to avoid double use of promotional offers. If you use the Hamburg CARD offer, your personal data will be used to check discount redemptions for billing purposes and to avoid multiple redemptions. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. b) GDPR.
We also process your personal data as part of the authentication of your usage rights and to ensure the security of our information technology systems. The legal basis for this data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR.
In addition, we process your personal data in order to be able to provide you with information on places of interest or events in your immediate vicinity. The legal basis for this data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. If you do not want this, please deactivate the location services for this app in the settings of your device.
Our app uses Google Analytics for Firebase, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”), to analyze the use of the app and to improve our offer.

Data processing takes place exclusively on the basis of your explicit consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. This consent is obtained via a consent dialog when the app is started for the first time. Firebase Analytics will not collect any data without your consent.
Data transfer to third countriesGoogle may also transfer personal data to servers in the USA as part of the service. Google is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. However, we would like to point out that a level of data protection comparable to that in the EU cannot currently be guaranteed for data processing in the USA.
Revocation of consentYou can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future in the settings of the app. After revocation, no further data will be collected by Google Analytics for Firebase.

If you wish to purchase services from us, such as purchasing the Hamburg Card, booking tickets for events or other services, you will be technically redirected to the website of Hamburg Tourismus GmbH within the app. In this context, please also note the privacy policy applicable on this page at https://www.hamburg-tourism.de/rechtliches/datenschutzerklaerung/.
A transfer of your data to third parties does not take place, unless it is external technical service provider, we are legally obliged to do so, or you book services from us, which makes a transfer of your data to the respective organizer or service provider necessary (eg tickets, hotels, other tourist services). The legal basis for the data transfer in this case is Art. 6 (1) lit b) GDPR, as the data transfer is necessary for the performance of the contract.
If external technical service providers have access to your personal data, we have taken legal, technical and organizational measures, and conduct regular checks to ensure that they comply with the provisions of the data protection laws.
We store data collected for statistical evaluation for a maximum of two years in order to be able to guarantee meaningful evaluations and comparisons with previous year periods.
In the case of bookings, your data will be stored as long as it is necessary for the execution of the underlying contract or for the enforcement or defense of any legal claims.
Otherwise, we will only store your personal data for as long as is necessary to guarantee and maintain our system security, for a maximum of 2 years.
We will gladly provide you with information on whether personal data relating to you is being processed; if this is the case, you have right to access this personal data and to the information listed in detail in Art. 15 GDPR. In addition, you have the right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), the right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), the right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), the right to object (Art. 21) and the right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR) under the respective legal conditions.
You can withdraw your consent to the processing of personal data at any time. Please note that the withdrawl is only effective for the future.
Without limiting these rights and the possibility of seeking any other administrative or judicial remedy, you may at any time exercise your right to submit a complaint to a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement, if you consider that the processing of personal data relating to you infringes data protection law (Art. 77 GDPR).
